Fredrick McGee (Freddie Mac) was born and raised in Quitman, Mississippi. Coming from a strong music background, it wouldn't be long before he took to his roots and began to consider a career in the music industry. Starting on the battle scene like most emcees, he perfected his craft and is now taking his talent to new heights. He always says, "Good music brings loyal fans, and loyal fans are worth making good music for."
1!> How do you feel about the current state of hip-hop and the music industry in general?
I think the Hip Hop industry is at its best right now! The field is wide open. Its no formula one has to follow in order to make themselves fit in and thats what I love about the game right now.
3!> What do you think about the way the media portrays or covers affairs dealing with African Americans?
I think the media portrays us how they see how we portray ourselves. Of course sometimes they get a little out of hand but you can't ba mad at that. I think they do what they can and that's how it's probably going to be forever.
4!> Do you feel like the recession is over?
I cant really say the recession is over. We have a long way to go before we can say that. Jobs are a major part and until that picks up vastly, I don't think we would really see a major change.
14!> What is your definition of SUCCESS?
Success to me is accomplishing life goals that you set out to accomplish. Living comfortably as well. We all will never be 100% stress free but when you reach that level you dreamed about and set out to reach, then you have become successful.
10!> What do you feel about the influence the entertainment industry has on children and adults alike?
Everywhere we are there's influence. The entertainment industry has probably the biggest influence on our children. Unless you lock your kids in the room with no tv or internet, there's no way to stop this. I just believe it's up to the parents to get involved and show them whats right and whats wrong.
