So first off while I'm talkin about Wayne I must mention the fact that some of his actions that disturb me lol. Mainly being the newest song release "Swagger jackin from us" along with Jim Jones and Juelz Santana. The only thing I'll talk about is the fact that the man was on the original "Swagger like us"! That perplexes me to no avail... The swagger jackin thing will be our next post though. I wanna say that I'm not on the Lil Wayne bandwagon, nor am I a hater, but I think he's kinda crazy and has personal problems. I will say that this dude was spittin on that metaphorical shit in this song for real... Whoever wrote this was not on earth, they were on some me, myself and I, outta this world type of shit. lol. Take a listen and see if you can follow the man.....
I must comment on this post. As we have discussed on numerous occasions...WAYNE IS ON SOME OTHER SHIT!!! I love his lyricism...and of course his gratuitous use of SIMILIES!!! ha haa ha..... Although I love his style, I must say that I am frightened at his self proclaimed status of "King of Hip-Hop" I would hate to think that the fate of my favorite genre of music is left in the hands of a "syrup-sippn, pill-poppn, narcissistic meta-physicist. And yes..."Swagger Jackin from Us" is 4 DA BIRDS HOMMIE... The fact that the man is on the original track means that he himself is jackn swag from himself!!?!?? HA!
ReplyDeleteI have heard Wayne on so many tracks....I was listening to some pop/rock station like a month ago and heard him on a track with some dudes who sound like a spin-off of a younger version of the group "Aerosmith"! His over-saturation of the market is starting to rub me like the "Beyonce-Pandimic" and at some point we just have to say "Shut the fuck up and get off the stage!!!"
Preach my sista preac!! I'd much rather see the new hip-hop left in the hands of a Lupe Fiasco, Kanye or a Common... Druggin is not cool! And his pandemic is wayyyy outside of Beyonce proportions!!!!!
ReplyDeleteNow ya'll know I'm a strong hip-hop fan, and I'm not too fond of "Rap" these days because it is over saturated with senseless gimmicks and sales schemes.
ReplyDeleteAs far as Wayne is concerned, I've never been a huge fan of his from past and present, especially since the Juvenile Beef he had at one point. I like some of his mixtape music because it's more lyrically sound and showcases his talents as a actual rapper, but like his trends tend to show, he drops the ball on the album and his albums are completely commercialized. I disagree with his "Best Rapper Alive" statement because I can call off at least 15 that are better. He may sell more records than some of these guys, but there is a talent discrepency on my behalf. Bottom line, if he delivered the same effort on his albums as he does with the mixtapes, I might listen up a little more. But he'll have to do much better to get me to buy his album...
